Convert ten-minute prices into a one-hour budget
MOCHA Shinjuku and Ikebukuro main branch cost ¥297 × 6 = ¥1,782 on weekdays, or ¥385 × 6 = ¥2,310 on weekends, holidays and designated dates. The shared beginner guide includes the drink bar, so do not add it twice. Nekomaru Ueno costs ¥1,700/¥1,800 for 60 minutes, with food and drinks optional.
- A ¥2,000 weekday budget covers these three basic 60-minute examples before optional extras.
- The same budget does not cover MOCHA's holiday 60-minute price.
- Include travel costs and time rather than travelling farther for a small price difference.
An unverified drink charge is not zero
Neco Republic Ochanomizu lists weekday 60-minute admission at ¥1,760; MOFF Harajuku lists ¥2,000. Their checked tables do not settle drink inclusion or compulsory orders. We therefore label these admission-only figures, not confirmed totals, and do not rank cafés by them.
- Ask whether everyone must pay anything besides the admission price.
- Drink facilities do not establish free or included drinks.
- Check discounts, private rooms and designated-date conditions separately.
Check the cost of extending to 90 minutes
On weekdays MOCHA rises from ¥1,782 to ¥2,673 (+¥891), and Nekomaru from ¥1,700 to ¥2,500 (+¥800). Neco Republic admission becomes ¥1,760 + ¥660 = ¥2,420. MOFF admission becomes ¥2,000 + three ¥250 extensions = ¥2,750. The latter two still exclude unverified drink conditions.
- Check your ending time before crossing a charging boundary.
- Evening and long-stay packages are separate; do not assume automatic cheapest-plan billing.
- A first 60-minute visit is our suggestion, not a universal minimum.
Separate planned reservations from casual stops
The two MOCHA shops and MOFF Harajuku are walk-in. Neco Republic Ochanomizu gives reservations priority. Nekomaru offers booking and recommends it for holiday afternoons: bookings start at 60 minutes, with email accepted until 18:00 the previous day. None of this guarantees an immediate walk-in seat.
- If your next appointment is fixed, start with booking and lateness rules.
- For a casual stop, allow yourself to return another day if the queue is long.
- Ikebukuro main and East are different shops with different age conditions.
Choose a purpose: light work or learning about rescue
MOCHA's shared FAQ welcomes work and study, making it a candidate for light laptop tasks—not a guarantee of a quiet desk or fast connection. For learning about rescue, allow time for registration and the cats at a place such as Neco Republic Ochanomizu. A café visit is separate from an adoption application.
- If an online meeting is essential, choose another workspace.
- Visiting a rescue café does not require an adoption decision; follow its entry rules.
- Ochanomizu requires opaque socks, not stockings.
Choose one place today; save the next for later
Our suggestion is to pick one place that meets budget, entry conditions and purpose, keeping one backup if needed. Check hours and last entry before leaving. After visiting, change 'Want to go' to 'Visited' so next time starts from your saved choices.
- Favorites stay on this device and do not make a reservation or sync across devices.
- A saved price is not a promise for next time; recheck official information.
- If you cannot choose, try one small step from the weekly letter.
