Takasaki dog and cat adoption applicant session — application and interview
Takasaki City Animal Welfare Center
Date & time
Sunday, October 25, 2026 9:00 AM–11:30 AM
Venue
Takasaki City Animal Welfare Center
2747 Notsukemachi, Takasaki, Gunma
How to attend
No advance booking is needed for this Sunday application session. Applicants must live in Gunma, be 20+, have suitable pet-permitted housing, family consent and indoor-only cat care, among other city requirements. Existing mammal pets must number fewer than five. An alternate guardian may be required; check every item on the official checklist and ask 027-330-2323 about documents and fees.
Important notes
The day covers a new application, questionnaire and interview only: no meeting the animals or same-day handover. A decision is posted later; approved applicants then call to book an animal and adoption date. This is not a rehoming event where owners bring their pets. October 25 is the only October date explicitly listed in the annual schedule. Check the official notice for changes before travelling. Precise coordinates are unverified, so no map pin is shown.
